Reading the loadout

Operator carries 9 skills across 6 slots (Drone ×3, Primary, Secondary ×2, Utility, Special, Passive). 3 of them are alternates rather than a default pick, which puts a real choice in the Drone, Secondary slots.

Cooldown range
No cooldowns are listed for this kit in the current data.
Proc profile
No proc coefficients are listed for this kit in the current data.
Unlock work
No separate challenges are attached to this survivor in the current data.

The kit splits into 3 slots built around dealing damage and 2 slots built around repositioning or burst windows.

This breakdown is computed from the table above rather than quoted from a guide, so it moves automatically whenever a listed value changes.

Origin and version history

  • Operator arrived with Alloyed Collective, so the character is selectable whenever that expansion is enabled in character select.

Origin and patch attribution are taken from the store listings and the developer's own announcement for patch 1.21.

What official material confirms

The points below come from the developer's own writing about this survivor — expansion announcements, patch notes and store listings — rather than from community compilation. Where community data is missing entirely, this is what the page can stand on instead.

  • Every drone under Operator's control is described as a tool waiting to be used, which makes the kit a command interface rather than a damage rotation.
  • A companion can be commanded to launch Operator skyward for attacks from above, or overcharged and sent into a crowd to detonate.
  • Aiming the crosshair at a target and issuing one command triggers whichever effect the queued drone carries, with a tongue of flames, a strafing run and a healing burst named as examples.
  • The store description pitches the character at players who will chain those commands together to support allies, so the intended play is sequencing rather than one big button.
  • Patch 1.21 describes an ability called Firewall that blocks explosions from outside it, and the same fix was applied to Engineer's Bubble Shield.
  • The patch also fixed a crash when using transport drones against stationary enemies, and Operator is one of the two Alloyed Collective survivors that did not receive a Hallowed Concepts skin.
